About Us

Our lead pastor Basil and his wife Lallie are passionate about building community through active discipleship, life giving services and intentional leadership. 

Basil has now been in full time ministry for over 18 years, hailing from the garden route and having studied theology in Australia, with a passionate desire to disciple people and develop leaders this has led him to be a student of psychology and a seeker of restoring hope to the people of South Africa by “making room” for ALL people.  

Basil met Lallie and life got more awesome. Not only do they have a desire to invest into peoples lives but they are trusting God for a big vision to bring healing, hope and restoration. 

I believe that the church needs to be relevant to the kingdom and to the community God has called us to serve and shepherd. We do this through Influence and Affluence. 

To be believers that are influencers means that we live out our calling in such a way that it draws others to Him, that we behave Christlike in all arena’s of our lives and take leadership as service wherever and whenever the opportunity arises. 

Affluence is not only a monetary element, however we acknowledge that money and assets are an important resource in kingdom building, time has become the greatest commodity in our times. A church that makes time to serve the community through events and programs will truly make a difference. 

We live like:

• Generosity is our norm 
• Serving is our privilege 

Anchor Church is a member of the Assembly of God (A.O.G.) in South Africa.

The A.O.G. South Africa has well in excess of one million members in over 2000 congregations.

Constitutionally the A.O.G. is a fully integrated church. A General Conference is held every two years, where a non-racial General Executive is elected. A.O.G. South Africa is part of the world wide A.O.G. and yet is autonomous in South Africa. It has been a nonracial denomination since its inception and is administered by a multi-racial executive comprising of 22 members.
